I recently needed to send some boxes from UK to Spain & found a service offered on a website that offered to carry items ”because we’re going there anyway” on the basis that thousands of trucks were travelling back and forth all over Europe sometimes only partially loaded or even empty for return journies and economies could be gained by just piggy-backing on to these loads.

I posted details of our boxes on the website and within minutes interested companies were sending their bids for the work via email. We had 13 boxes, 5 small, 5 medium and 3 large, total weight 90kg. We accepted the best bid from about half a dozen offers and it only cost us £250. It was a really efficient service and very cheap. Boxes went from door to door in just a few days and we were kept advised on progress every step of the way.

It’s a great concept and a fantastic service if you need any stuff shipped out here…or back to UK
